First: Visit the official website of Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) Nigeria at cac.gov.ng and take your time to go through the website before proceeding to click on the #ONLINE REGISTRATION tab and proceed to create your free account using any of your active email address and other personal information about you.
When you click on the #ONLINE REGISTRATION it will take you to the below page, with instructions on steps to take, such as.
Step One: Carry out an intensive public search to know if there is an existing name to the name you intend to register. To do that Just click on the #Search Now tab and enter your supposed name, it will take you to the subdomain section "search.cac.gov.ng/home"
And enter the name you want to register into the public search box and wait for the results, this are important steps to check if the name you plan to register has already been take or registered by another user
Should you carry out a public search and discover the name you plan to register/incorporate already existing, possibly taken by another person or people?
Then you can either change the name or add a suffix or prefix to the name and carry out another public search to check if the name is free.
Once you are sure the name does not exist, possibly free for registration. you can then proceed with your name reservation process, Which takes us to step two
Step Two: Proceed to Reserve a Name, by submitting your preferred two business names, which cost just N500 Naira. To do that, click on the Reserve Name Now tab. See picture below
But before you can reserve a name, you will need to log in with your account provided you have an account with cac.gov.ng, if you do just login with your username, email and password. Should you don't have account yet with CAC Nig portal, then proceed to create an account using your most active email address by clicking on the Register tab. See picture below
You can start the process of creating your free account with the CAC Nigeria Portal by following this URL "pre.cac.gov.ng/register/new" and entering your personal details, such as your mobile phone number or NIN, then folloeed by your email address where a confirmation message will be sent to your email address
You will need to return to your email address and confirm your email address and then proceed to log in and finish up your name Reservation, which as I said earlier cost only N500, five hundred naira. Hope you are getting it
