The world has changed because of Wikipedia and almost every person with internet access has in one way or another used Wikipedia.
Here is an amazing moment when Nas Daily flew to London just to meet Jimmy Wales and understand why he made Wikipedia free, why he gave away billions of dollars and this is his incredible story

When Nas daily asked him, please what does this Wikipedia mean? According to Jimmy the word "Wiki" is from Hawaiian word wiki wiki which also means quick collaboration and we adapted that concept, to come together and make an online encyclopedia.
Jimmy the founder of Wikipedia decided to make Wikipedia 100% FREE for everyone in the world. Nas Daily jokingly asks Jimmy who does that. And he responded "Me" Jimmy.
He made Wikipedia 100% free for all users around the world, with no more ads, no more monthly subscriptions, no revenue, no profits just free knowledge for everyone.
People from around the world came together to contribute and put all human knowledge on one website, made it a community of learners, fact-checked each other's entries, posts, articles, and together they wrote more than 50 million articles in 300 languages ALL FOR FREE.
