The legendary Nigerian singer, Onyeka Onwenu was 72 years old, she sl¥mps and d!es after performing at a party in Lagos Nigeria as reported. The music icon was rushed to the nearby hospital, but later reportedly d!ed on Tuesday night, July 30, at the Reddington Hospital, Lagos.
According to a source close to the family, Onyeka Onwenu was attending a friend’s birthday party when she took to the stage to perform and entertain the audience.
Just after her performance, she returned to her seat and suddenly slumped. She was rushed to Reddington Hospital in Lagos, where she was later pronounced de@d on arival.
The cause of de@th is yet to be confirmed or made known to the public, Onyeka Onwenu, born on May 31, 1952, had a career that spanned over four decades, both in the Music industry and Nollywood scene.
