In her post the newly crowned Miss Universe Africa and Oceana Chidimma Adetshina thanks Africans and more importantly Nigerians for standing by her at her lowest moment.
Said African Nigerians picked me up and gave me new hope of living “To Nigeria: THANK YOU, thank you so much is not enough for all the support you’ve shown. At my lowest moment in life, you came for me.
You picked me up when I was at my lowest. I’ve never opened up much but I was ready to give up on my life but you became my strength, on days I never wanted to fight you gave me the strength to fight. I’m so grateful to each and every one for walking this journey with me.
She also addressed the African continent, saying, “To Africa: thank you for showing your love and support. As much as I represent Nigeria, our win is a win for Africa who all fought for me.
My voice and my story touched many and brought us together. This journey has taught me the power of Unity. I want us to live in a society where we can all accept and celebrate one another.” Be united as humans.
As all that is unfolding, there are important facts you need to learn about Chidimma Adetshina. Yesterday Chidimma Adetshina who before now, her native country South African immigration services revoked her travel documents even though investigations show that she was innocent of all allegations. (It was simply AFROPHOBIA).
At that lowest moment of her life and career, Nigeria offered her a second chance at life and Nigerians made her trend in over 70 countries around the world.
She was later invited to Nigeria to pick form for the Miss Nigeria pageant which she did and won Miss Nigeria 2024 with ticked to represent Nigeria at the global Miss Universe.
Then the South Africa Melisizwe Mandela Foundation submitted a petition for her to be disqualified in Mexico at the Miss Universe contest. But it was the Miss Univers South African candidate Mia Le Roux who ended up withdrawing to save face from embarrassment when it was discovered that she wasn't the fan's favorite and possibly wouldn't make it, Miss SA quit citing health challenges.
Her withdrawal also prompted the South African Broadcasting Services (SABC) to annul the live broadcast of the Miss Univers 2024, denying most Africans from viewing the program.
Regardless, the program continues with Chidimma Adetshina representing Nigeria, out of the 122 Countries, she became the first runner-up, a position that might see her take over if the Miss Universe is unable to perform her duty or is sick.
In addition, she became the first runner-up to receive a prize package that includes $100k USD in cash, a luxury apartment in New York, and all travel expenses paid for the duration of their reigns.
Miss Chidimma ADETSHINA now Miss Universe Africa and Oceana might have not won the title of Miss Universe, but she was crowned Miss Universe Africa and Oceana the same night by the same organization. She was the fan's favorite and was trending in first place in over 70 countries around the world.
